Beginning from Chandigarh, the journey takes you through Shimla and Narkanda into the enchanting Kinnaur Valley, where you explore beautiful villages like Sangla, Rakcham, Chitkul, Kalpa and Nako while driving along the historic Hindustan–Tibet Road with stunning views of Mt. Kinner Kailash.

Entering Spiti Valley, discover ancient monasteries and dramatic landscapes at Tabo, Dhankar, Pin Valley (Mudh & Kungri), Kaza and the high-altitude villages of Hikkim, Komic, Langza, Kibber and Chicham. Itinerary

Day 1 : Chandigarh Arrival | Drive to Narkanda

Arrival at Chandigarh railway station / airport where our driver will meet you.
Drive to Narkanda (180 kms / approx. 6.5 hrs) via Solan and Shimla.
Enroute halt for lunch and short breaks.
Pass through scenic Himalayan villages like Fagu, Theog and Matiana.
Arrive Narkanda and check-in at a homestay amidst apple orchards.
Visit Hattu Peak (3,400 m) for panoramic views of the Central Himalayas.

Day 2 : Narkanda to Rakcham / Chitkul via Sangla

After breakfast, check-out and proceed towards Sangla Valley.
Drive to Chitkul / Rakcham (182 kms / approx. 8 hrs).
Visit Sangla and explore Kamru Village, Kamru Fort and local monastery.
Continue drive to Chitkul (last Indian village near Indo-Tibet border).
Walk through the village and enjoy Baspa River views.
Experience the raw beauty of Baspa Valley with orchards and traditional houses.

Day 3 : Chitkul To Tabo via Rakcham & Nako

Morning walk around Rakcham village and Baspa River.
Drive to Tabo (210 kms / approx. 8 hrs).
Stop at Khab – confluence of Sutlej and Spiti Rivers.
Visit Nako village and Nako Lake; enjoy village walk.
Enter Spiti Valley at Sumdo check post.
Notice the dramatic landscape change from green valleys to barren mountains.
Arrive Tabo by evening and check-in at hotel.

Day 4 : Tabo To Kaza via Dhankar & Pin Valley

Visit Tabo Monastery (established in 996 A.D.), known for ancient murals and sculptures.
Drive to Dhankar Village and explore monastery and fort ruins.
Optional trek to Dhankar Lake for stunning valley views.
Proceed to Pin Valley and visit Kungri Monastery.
Visit Mudh Village (subject to road conditions).
Continue drive to Kaza and check-in at hotel.
Evening free to explore Kaza market.

Day 5 : Local Sightseeing Kaza | Hikkim | Key Monastery | Kibber | Chicham

Full-day excursion to high-altitude villages of Spiti.
Visit Hikkim – world’s highest post office.
Visit Komic – one of the highest motorable villages.
Explore Langza village and Buddha statue overlooking the valley.
Visit Key Monastery – largest monastery in Spiti.
Explore Kibber and Chicham villages and the famous suspension bridge.
Return to Kaza by evening.

Day 6 : Kaza to Kalpa

After breakfast, drive to Kalpa (208 kms / approx. 8 hrs).
Visit Gue village to see the 500+ years old preserved mummy of Sangha Tenzin.
Continue drive via Nako and Puh.
Arrive Kalpa and check-in at hotel with Kinner Kailash views.
Evening free to explore village surroundings.

Day 7 : Kalpa To Shimla

Visit Roghi Village and the famous Suicide Point viewpoint.
Drive to Reckong Peo and explore local market.
