Itinerary

Day 1 : Chandigarh to Shimla
  • Today to start with your Lahaul Spiti with Chandrataal Lake tour package, you will be met from your train / flight at Chandigarh by our driver, and we will drive you to Shimla (4 hrs) via Barog, Solan.
  • Enroute you will stop for lunch break and comfort breaks and would have enough time to stop for photo breaks.
  • If time permits visit the Pinjore gardens on the way.
  • You will reach Shimla in the evening and will transfer to your hotel in Shimla.
  • Evening is free to explore the mall road of Shimla.
  • Overnight stay in Hotel in Shimla
  • Meals Plan: Dinner is included.
Day 2 : Shimla to Sarahan
  • After breakfast check out from the hotel / home stay and set off with your guide at around 8:30 A.M. to Sarahan.
  • We drive through Fagu, Theog, Matiana, Narkanda and Rampur with comfort breaks and short village hikes.
  • Visit Hattu Peak at Narkanda for spectacular Himalayan views.
  • Stop for lunch at Rampur and continue to Sarahan.
  • Visit Bhimakali Temple and enjoy views of Shrikhanda Mahadev Peak.
  • Overnight in Sarahan for 1 night

Day 3 : Sarahan to Sangla / Chitkul
  • After breakfast at your hotel, we will visit the famous Bhimakali Temple at Sarahan, known for its unique hill architecture and spiritual importance.
  • Later continue your drive towards Sangla Valley (140 kms / 7–8 hrs), one of the most scenic valleys in Kinnaur, following the Baspa River.
  • On arrival, check-in at your hotel and after some rest proceed for an excursion to Chitkul (20 kms), the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border.
  • Enjoy a peaceful walk through the village, admire traditional houses, interact with locals and soak in the untouched Himalayan beauty.
  • Later return back to Sangla by evening and relax at your hotel amidst the beautiful Baspa Valley surroundings.

Day 4 : Sangla / Rakcham to Kalpa
  • After breakfast check-out from the hotel and take a short walk through Sangla and Kamru villages, known for their traditional wooden houses and ancient temples.
  • Visit Kamru Fort and nearby monasteries reflecting the rich cultural blend of Hinduism and Buddhism in Kinnaur.
  • Later drive towards Kalpa (40 kms / 2–3 hrs), enroute stopping at Reckong Peo, the district headquarters of Kinnaur.
  • Spend some time exploring the local market and enjoy views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.
  • On arrival in Kalpa, check-in at your hotel and later enjoy a walk to Roghi village known for its dramatic cliffs and scenic beauty.
  • Witness stunning views of the sacred Kinner Kailash range, especially during sunset or sunrise.

Day 5 : Kalpa to Tabo via Nako & Gue
  • After early breakfast, begin your long but scenic drive towards Tabo (210 kms / 9–10 hrs), entering the beautiful terrain of Spiti Valley.
  • Enroute visit Nako village, famous for its picturesque lake and monastery, where you can take a short walk and enjoy lunch break.
  • Continue your journey and enter Spiti Valley, known for its raw landscapes, barren mountains and unique Himalayan culture.
  • Visit Gue Village to witness the naturally preserved 500+ year old mummy of a Buddhist monk, a rare and fascinating attraction.
  • Later drive towards Tabo and check-in at your hotel by evening.

Day 6 : Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar & Pin Valley
  • After breakfast, visit the ancient Tabo Monastery, founded in 996 AD, known for its murals, scriptures and heritage significance.
  • Later drive towards Kaza, enroute visiting Dhankar Village, famous for its cliff-top monastery and fort overlooking the Spiti River.
  • If interested, you can opt for a short hike to Dhankar Lake, offering mesmerizing panoramic views.
  • Continue towards Pin Valley and visit Kungri Monastery, located inside Pin Valley National Park, known for rare Himalayan wildlife.
  • Arrive Kaza by evening and check-in at your hotel / camp, followed by free time to explore the local market.

Day 7 : Kaza Sightseeing – Hikkim, Komic, Langza, Key, Kibber, Chicham
  • After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion to the high altitude villages around Kaza.

  • Continue to Komic, one of the highest motorable villages in the world and visit its monastery.
  • Visit Langza village, known for its Buddha statue and fossil-rich landscapes; enjoy interaction with locals and optional local lunch.
  • Later visit the famous Key Monastery, the largest monastery in Spiti Valley with stunning hilltop views.
  • Explore Kibber village and visit Chicham Bridge, one of the highest suspension bridges in Asia.
  • Overnight stay in Kibber

Day 8 : Kaza to Keylong via Kunzum Pass & Chandrataal
  • Today early morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel as you begin your long and adventurous drive towards Keylong (190 kms / 8–9 hrs).
  • Drive through the high altitude Kunzum Pass (4,551 metres), offering spectacular views of glaciers and the CB mountain ranges.
  • Enroute, visit the beautiful Chandrataal Lake (subject to weather and road conditions), known as the “Lake of the Moon”.
  • Spend some time walking around the lake, enjoying the surreal landscape surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
  • Continue your journey towards Batal for lunch at a local dhaba and further drive via rough mountain roads towards Keylong.
  • Arrive Keylong by evening and check-in at your hotel / camp, followed by time to relax after the long journey.
  • Overnight stay at hotel in Keylong

Day 9 : Keylong Sightseeing – Udaipur & Trilokinath
  • After breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour around Keylong and Lahaul Valley.
  • Drive towards Trilokinath Temple, an ancient and sacred shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, revered by both Hindus and Buddhists.
  • Continue to Udaipur village and visit the famous Mrikula Devi Temple, known for its intricate wooden carvings and unique architecture.
  • Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Chandrabhaga (Chenab) River flowing through the valley and explore the peaceful surroundings.
  • Later return back to Keylong by evening and spend time exploring the local market or relaxing at the hotel.

Day 10 : Keylong to Manali via Rohtang Pass
  • After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and begin your drive towards Manali (115 kms / 5–6 hrs).
  • Enroute stop at Khoksar for tea / light refreshments and enjoy the changing landscapes as you descend towards Kullu Valley.
  • Cross the famous Rohtang Pass (3,980 metres), known for its breathtaking views of glaciers and snow-covered peaks.
  • Continue your drive towards Manali and arrive by late afternoon.
  • Check-in at your hotel and later enjoy free time to explore Mall Road and Old Manali villages.

Day 11 : Manali to Chandigarh – Departure
  • After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and begin your return journey to Chandigarh (290 kms / 8–9 hrs).
  • Enjoy the scenic drive along the Beas River with comfort and refreshment breaks on the way.
  • Arrive Chandigarh by evening and transfer to airport / railway station for your onward journey.
